Lime

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Vitamin C: a stabilized form of vitamin C in a lipophilic system that protects it from degradation; it is the most stable form of vitamin C, soluble in oil; it has high skin absorption and is then converted into the form available to the skin as needed. It stimulates collagen synthesis and prevents cellular damage.

Citrus aurantifolia extract from Lime (originating from Mexico): The innovative technology allows to obtain active ingredients from Lime fruit, maximizing their value and optimizing their effect. The active ingredient is obtained through enzymatic extraction from upcycled food, using parts of vegetables rich in active compounds that would otherwise be discarded: another step towards sustainability. It is rich in capillary-protecting citroflavonoids, antioxidants, and soothing agents, countering the effects of smog on the skin.

Hyaluronic acid (high molecular weight): is capable of retaining a lot of water and creates a long-lasting protective hydrating layer on the skin. It leaves skin silky and velvety.

Antioxidant
The skin has a mechanism that regulates the production and neutralisation of free radicals, however excess levels of unneutralised free radicals cause oxidative stress. On the skin, stabilised Vitamin C is transformed into pro-vitamin C, which eliminates highly reactive free radicals. 

PREVENTING AND FIGHTING SUN DAMAGE 
As a result of sun damage, inflammation mediators, which that act as a signal to stimulate melanocyte growth, are released in the skin  Stabilised vitamin C modulates the signalling pathways.

ILLUMINATING
Chronic UV exposure leads to chronic epidermal inflammation. This causes melanocyte hyperactivity with excess melanin production. This condition promotes the appearance of uneven skin tone and of dark spots, in mature skin. Stabilised vitamin C illuminates and reduces dark spots and freckles.

ANTI-AGEING
Stabilised vitamin C stimulates HAS3 gene expression and therefore hyaluronic acid synthesis. It is also stimulates type 1 collagen production and inhibits collagenase (MMP-1)

-    In vitro test on dermal cells treated with hydrogen peroxide, which oxidizes by altering them
-    Lime serum and cream pass the test by defending the cells against hydrogen peroxide damage, demonstrating their protection against free radical damage and thus their antioxidant efficacy.
